Dog Travel

What paperwork will I need?

Canada requires two main forms of paperwork, a recent health certificate showing that the dog is in good health and also vaccination records. The main one they care about is the Rabies vaccine being up to date and seeing proof of it.

When you cross into Canada via air travel you will be required to go through an inspection at customs. Here they will examine the dog and look over your paperwork.

What do I need coming back into the US?

Similar to Canada the US will require you to have a health certificate and proof of rabies vaccination being up to date but you will also need to have your CDC dog import form filled out before you make your way back into the states.
